This is a post from a father who’s trying to remind everybody, just because your kids can’t, don’t punish his kids from being able to eat and enjoy Valentine’s Day candy.
In a day and a time everybody seems to be has some kind of allergy or limitation.
We have now gotten to the point instead of telling your kid or telling yourself to abstain from such items that everybody must.
And yes I do know of a few people that even if they’re in the proximity of a particular item it can trigger an anaphylactic reaction.
But those are few and far between.
We now choose to limit everyone for the perceived safety of the few.
For the record in my 50 years of being on the planet I don’t remember anybody ever dying of allergic reaction to chalky Valentine’s Day hearts.
Maybe a bad taste in their mouth. Maybe even to the point of having to throw up because they ate to many or they because they are just awful.
And I am absolutely sure, that soon the little statements wrote on each candy will be more of an issue for some than the ingredients in or the candy itself.
Welcome to the new millennium!
